Job Description: Company Driver Reports To: Head of Logistics Functional Liaison: All teams, clients, and vendors Location: Dubai and the UAE Job Grade: [To be defined] Version: Rev. 1: 24/04/2025 ________________ Role Overview The Company Driver plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of Redwoodโ€™s daily operations. As a reliable and professional team player, the driver is responsible for timely collections, deliveries, coordination with suppliers, site visits, and general administrative support. This position requires strong time management skills, flexibility, and a commitment to upholding the companyโ€™s values when interacting with external and internal stakeholders. ________________ Key Responsibilities * Carry out collections and deliveries of materials, equipment, documents, and other items across Dubai and other Emirates as needed. * Coordinate with suppliers for pickups, drop-offs, and logistics-related follow-ups. * Support the administration team with physical document handling, printing, filing, cheque collections, and errands. * Conduct occasional site visits to deliver or collect tools, materials, or equipment in support of the installation or service teams. * Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and scheduling of service or repairs when required. * Represent Redwood in a professional manner with clients, partners, and vendors at all times. * Report any logistical, operational, or process inefficiencies that may improve delivery or coordination. * Remain available to assist the broader team with ad hoc support and logistical requirements. * Ensure all movements are logged and tracked in accordance with company policy. ________________ ________________ Key Requirements * Minimum 3 years of driving experience in the UAE with a valid UAE driving license. * Excellent knowledge of UAE roads and local delivery procedures. * Strong time management and multitasking skills. * Basic communication skills in English. * Professional, punctual, and responsible attitude. * Familiarity with basic document handling and communication with suppliers or clients is desirable. * Experience using WhatsApp, Google Maps, and basic smartphone functions for job-related communication and navigation. ________________ Competency Alignment โ€“ Company Driver * General Administration (25%) โ€“ A core function of the role, including document delivery, coordination, and printing. * Company Culture (20%) โ€“ Professional conduct, punctuality, helpfulness, and respect for team and clients. * Project Management & Admin (15%) โ€“ Critical for task planning, timekeeping, and coordination across departments. * Personal & Peer Development (15%) โ€“ Proactive support across teams and openness to feedback and improvement. * Innovation & Improvement (10%) โ€“ Identifying smarter delivery routes or support processes that can improve operations. * Design & Product Knowledge (5%) โ€“ Basic familiarity with Redwood products to support informed communication during site and supplier visits. * Installation (5%) โ€“ Occasional site support, requiring understanding of installation flow and needs. * Sales / Marketing / BD (5%) โ€“ Opportunity to contribute by flagging leads or making useful introductions during visits. * Technical Troubleshooting (0%), Programming (0%) โ€“ Not required or expected in this role.
