Role Summary The Junior Technician provides essential support in the physical installation of smart home and AV systems for luxury residential projects across the UAE. This entry-level role involves assisting senior technicians with cabling, device mounting, and basic setup, while actively learning industry best practices. The Junior Technician is expected to follow instructions diligently, maintain high standards of workmanship, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities * Assist senior technicians with cable pulling, dressing, and basic termination tasks according to project specifications. * Support the mounting and installation of various AV and smart home devices, including speakers, sensors, and control panels, under direct supervision. * Learn to interpret basic technical drawings and installation guides to understand system layouts and requirements. * Help with site preparation, organization of tools and materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. * Perform basic continuity checks and cable labeling as instructed by senior staff. * Report any on-site issues, discrepancies, or potential challenges to senior technicians promptly. * Adhere to all company safety protocols and installation standards during project execution. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Accuracy and completeness of assigned basic installation support tasks. * Timeliness in completing tasks and responsiveness to senior technician requests. * Adherence to safety procedures and site cleanliness standards. * Positive feedback from senior technicians regarding assistance and willingness to learn. * Minimization of re-work required on tasks performed. Preferred Qualifications & Experience * High School Diploma or equivalent; technical vocational training or certification in electronics, IT, or a related field is a plus. * 0-2 years of experience in a technical support, assistant, or entry-level installation role, preferably in AV, IT, or electrical systems. * Basic understanding of hand and power tools and their safe operation. * Strong willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and adapt to new technologies. * Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team. * Good communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude. * Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various site conditions.
