Key Responsibilities
* Execute installation tasks including cable pulling, terminations, mounting control panels, and fitting devices such as touchscreens, keypads, sensors, speakers, and other automation hardware.
* Interpret technical drawings and installation documentation to ensure systems are installed as per design specifications.
* Support basic troubleshooting by identifying and resolving installation faults, checking continuity, and preparing the site for commissioning.
* Collaborate closely with project engineers to assist with system testing and handover preparation.
* Follow safety protocols and site procedures, ensuring personal and team compliance with HSE standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress updates, installation reports, and photographic records.
* Communicate effectively with the Head of Installations and Project Managers to report issues or suggest workflow improvements.
* Stay up to date with tools, materials, and industry best practices through ongoing training and internal learning sessions.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in AV, home automation, electrical, or low-voltage system installation.
* Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and device mounting techniques.
* Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and layout drawings.
* Familiarity with smart home systems (e.g., Control4, KNX, Lutron) is an advantage.
* Basic fault-finding and cable testing experience (multimeter use, continuity checks, etc.).
* Good communication and team collaboration skills.
* High level of attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
* Willingness to travel to different sites and work flexible hours if required.
